Street Ride is free Shockwave game that is tons of fun and a little addicting. In it, you ride around on your BMX in a cool, 3D city environment and perform lots of jumps and tricks. There are plenty of ramps, stairs to ride up and down, and platforms to jump down onto or jump up on. There are cool half pipes where you can do some wicked tricks. The game plays smooth and the controls are easy to use.
In Street Ride, you ride your BMX free roam around the city. There aren’t any cars or pedestrians to watch out for, just lots of jumps and fun things to ride over and terrain to explore. From the main screen, you can choose a male or female character. You have five minutes per game to roam around the city and gather as many points as you can doing tricks and jumps. However, you can gain extra minutes of gameplay by riding over and collecting boxes of cereal.
The more boxes of cereal you pick up, the more time you have to rack up points. Some boxes of cereal are hidden up in trees and you have to jump high to reach them. You can also ride down into the subway station, grab a few boxes of cereal, get onto the subway, and go for a ride. Steer your bike down alleyways and in areas that you might not think you can go. Many of the off the beaten track areas have hidden boxes of cereal.
Unlike many other bike games online, Street Ride has a good soundtrack with a fast repetitive beat that is entertaining rather than annoying. Jam to the beat and crank out awesome tricks all day!
Street Ride Game Controls
- Up, down, left and right arrow keys – pedal or do a wheelie on the ground and rotate in the air.
- Space bar – do a jump (bunny hop).
- “X” key – do a trick in the air or on the ground (combine with arrow keys for advanced stunts).
- “V” key- change the game view.
- “Q” key – quit and go to the main menu.
